Join SKE and the Ontario Realty Corporation (ORC) at Showcase Ontario in Toronto on Sept. 20-22 for the introduction of the Ontario GeoPortal cloud service. Showcase Ontario is a terrific forum for all levels of public sector to see how we are enabling the integration of information through the Ontario GeoPortal solution. Please attend and drop by the Ontario GeoPortal Booth # 415 near the entrance in the "Emerging Technology" area. Admission to Showcase Ontario is free for all government employees - municipal, provincial and federal.
SKE / ORC and MAA Seminar at Showcase Ontario, September 22
SKE, ORC and our clients at the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs will be giving a presentation called "Ontario GeoPortal - Cloud Computing Service for Ontario Government" on Wednesday, September 22 from 2:00 to 3:30. All those attending Showcase Ontario are welome to attend.
SKE at the Toronto ESRI User Conference, October 6.
Join SKE at the Toronto ESRI User Conference, being held at the Toronto Congress Centre on October 6. We will be highlighting our new ArcGIS Hosting Services in our spatial cloud computing infrastructure. ESRI Canada will be highlighting its new ArcGIS version 10 - so it should be a very interesting show.
Upgrades to Dynamic Atlas
Dynamic Atlas is getting a few important touch-ups as we:
- incorporate the ability to register "dynamic" related information objects to map features in Dynamic Maps and Dynamic Knowledgebase. This is something we've had available in SC2-GeoPortal for several years;
- incorporate the ability to publish and atlas through SC2-GeoPortal services - in so doing we are phasing out Dynamic Web Maps Server.
- upgrading the software and installs to the latest Windows operating system.
SKE to Host the Ontario Realty Corporation's Ontario GeoPortal and Related Applications and Data
The multi-award winning Ontario GeoPortal and its numerous business systems and terabytes of spatial data will be hosted by SKE at our SC2-GeoPortal cloud computing facility in partnership with Peer1. Full operations will kick in by the end of the summer 2010. We are thrilled to work with the Ontario Realty Corporation, whose vision and leadership in GIS and IT are enabling the Ontario Government to more fully leverage its investments in geo-spatial technologies and data.
